It started with our family of six needing a better way to travel and be together outside of the house. But traveling comfortably ended up not being enough. We found ourselves wanting more ways to connect...to play games, to eat and laugh together in new settings. So we built our first Sprinter van, and found that our adventures became more frequent and far more enjoyable. Mountain biking, hiking, and kayaking were now within reach. We were doing life together in a way we hadn’t before.
This led us to imagine what everyday could be like if our van was driven on the daily. With much trepidation, my wife took the plunge and made it her sole vehicle back in 2017. She was surprised how quickly she settled into the ease of driving and parking the van, and she loved the safety it brought the family.
With our van as her daily driver, she found that her workload as a mom became lighter, and the days became more meaningful with the kids. She reveled in the ability to stand and load children in and out easily. Previous times of waiting for piano lessons to end, now became useful moments for siblings to complete homework or play card games together in the dinette. Saturday’s extended times at the field between soccer games were now spent in a spacious room where family and friends could congregate, enjoying cold beverages from the fridge or drying out muddy clothing between games, all the while listening to music without running down the car battery. Even the cleanup was a cinch due to the washability of the interior. Bonds of joy were being formed on the daily. She was hooked. We were all hooked.
The van market is filled with vans that facilitate 2-3 people. A glance at the photo makes it clear that we needed more. Something that we could use everyday and on the weekends too. And so Joybonds Van Supply began, and now exists to assist families to go out and create their own unique joy-filled moments through togetherness, ease and simplicity.
